Additional Services/Consultants

ADDITIONAL SERVICES

1. Additional services beyond the scope defined herein will be billed at a fixed fee negotiated prior to service delivery. These could include items such as significant redesign, construction observation, representation at additional civic meetings, interior design, etc.

CONSULTANTS

MANAGED

Any consultants required or recommended by Craft Architecture to execute the project will be managed by Craft Architecture with a markup equal to 5% of the consultants’ fees.

NOT MANAGED

Alternatively, you may hire and manage consultants directly. Craft Architecture will bill hourly for time spent coordinating with external consultants.

Invoicing

LATE FEE

1. Each phase will be invoiced upon conveyance of deliverables as indicated. Unpaid invoices will accrue a 3% late fee beginning 30th day after delivery, compounding every 30 days thereafter.

PAYMENT METHODS

2. Invoices are delivered electronically to your provided email address. They are payable online via ACH or by mail via personal check.

START AND DELIVERY TIMELINE

  1. This proposal is valid for thirty days from the date of delivery.

  2. Services not completed within one year from the date of delivery of this proposal are subject to price adjustments.

  3. Target dates for deliverables shall be mutually established after payment of prior step. Work on subsequent phases will not begin until invoices for previous phase are paid. It is expected that the feedback required for each step will be provided in a timely manner.

Termination + Document Use

TERMINATION

If, at the completion of any phase prior to Permit/Construction Drawings, the client notifies Craft Architecture not to proceed to the next phase, they will be invoiced for the work completed to that point but will not be liable for future payments.

DOCUMENT USE

The documents prepared by Craft Architecture are Instruments of Service for use solely with respect to this project. Craft Architecture maintains all copyrights thereto. The Owner will not use or permit the reuse of the Instruments of Service without written consent of Craft Architecture. Provided the Owner is not in default under this Agreement, Owner may retain copies for information only. The documents are not intended or represented to be suitable for use by the Owner or others on extensions of the project, for completion or implementation of the project by others, or any other project. The Owner further agrees to waive all claims against Craft Architecture and indemnify and defend against claims brought by any party resulting in any way from unauthorized changes or use of the Instruments of Service or completion of the project without Craft Architecture’s involvement.
